Business Card Printing Tips to Save You Money
Business Card Printing Tips
In this day and age of Social Media and Search Engines it’s easy to forget the importance of face-to-face marketing. Handing someone your business card can still have a big impact. We don’t want you to waste your chance to make a big impression so here are five tips to consider before your next Business Card printing order.
1. Keep your cards in a box and take them with you only when you need them. Cards will begin to fray and damage if kept in a wallet for a long period of time.
2. Get your cards laminated to prevent scuff and scratch marks. If your cards have a dark background we recommend you add a gloss or matt laminate as they are more susceptible to damage.
3. If you’re networking and want to stand out from the crowd consider using a business card that does too. A standard size card is usually 90 x 55mm, so consider using a slimmer size of 90 x 45mm. A slimmer Business card can give the impression of prestige or higher value just like the slim Euro-style number plates do.
4. Keep a good 4-5mm margin from the text of the business card and the very edge. When cutting to the final size we need to allow a variance of 1-2mm as cards are often cut in stacks on mass. If you card contains text close to the edge there is a chance it could get sliced into.
5. Use a simple black typeface for your personal details. While using colour text may look attractive on your computer screen often when printed the final result can lack impact especially as a business card often requires a small font size. We recommend black text because it makes an excellent impact and looks great when printed small.
